Visa and migration info
The Egyptian embassy provides potential travelers with the current legal guidelines for travel to Egypt. No matter where visitors travel from, a valid passport and a visa are required to enter Egypt. American and British travelers with passports can buy a tourist entry visa at Cairo airport for $25 USD upon arrival. Visitors from other countries may need to obtain their visa before arrival in Egypt. An online or “e-visa” is valid for 90 days and allows a 30 day stay in Egypt.
